we are pleased to invite official IDO national member delegations to participate in IDO World Championships 2026: Show Dance, Acrobatic Dance, Performing Arts Improvisation.

Mikołajki is one of the most established and internationally recognized locations for IDO Performing Arts events. Long-standing cooperation with IDO and a permanent organizational structure guarantee professional competitive conditions in full compliance with IDO standards.

PARTICIPATION
Participation is possible exclusively through official IDO national member organizations. Delegations may combine participation in the World Championships with the International Christmas Dance Festival (10–14 December 2026).

REGISTRATION
Online registration is managed through national IDO member organizations. Final registration deadline: 15 October 2026.

This event represents the highest competitive level within the structure of the International Dance Organization (IDO). Official IDO World Champion titles will be awarded in accordance with IDO rules and regulations. Participation is exclusively through official IDO national member federations.

Mikołajki has become a permanent and recognized location within the international IDO Performing Arts calendar. Since 2008, official IDO European and World Championships have been regularly organized here. More than 30,000 dancers have performed on the Mikołajki stage.

World Dance Week has been organized by the same experienced team continuously since 2001. Consistency, organizational stability and long-term cooperation with IDO ensure professional standards aligned with international federation expectations.

Registration is conducted through official national IDO channels. Delegations planning participation are advised to begin internal preparations well in advance.

All participating IDO-federations may send additionally "IDO-voluntary judges". In this case please contact the Chairperson of Judges and the Organizer at least 2 months before the event.






  • Entry fees are determined in accordance with official IDO rules.
  • Final registration deadline – 15 October 2026.
  • Audience tickets:
    1-day accreditation – 30 EUR adults / 20 EUR children under 12
  • VIP table seating available upon request.
  • Live streaming is planned in cooperation with Pineapple Media.


Statutory & docs
  • The dimensions of the parquet minimum 12m x 15 m - surface: ballet floor.
  • Small dance room dimensions 9m x 10 m
  • The Organisers do not provide custody or insurance for the participants. The responsibility to provide custody and insurance applies to the delegating institutions.
  • The institutions and their dancers own the right to withdraw from further competition on each stage of the event. Withdrawal from the competition shall not result in reimbursement of the enrollment fees.
  • During the IDO World Championships following amenities will be in operation: medical point, restaurant and parking.
  • The delegating institutions are obliged to insure their pupils. The delegating institutions declare that they have adequate insurance cover. The Organisers of the Championships do not provide custody or insurance for the participants.
  • The use of sports footwear (or lack of any) is mandatory, while the use of “stiletto” or “spike” heels (any kind of footwear that may damage the surface) is prohibited.
  • Any form of advertisement is forbidden without a written consent of the Organisers.
  • During the IDO World Championships, the participants are obliged to absolutely comply with fire and occupational health and safety requirements and procedures. The terms of agreement prohibit bringing in own food and drinks on the site.
  • Participation in the IDO World Championships event expresses the unconditional and perpetual consent to photo, video and TV recording and broadcasting of all presentations.
  • Protests comply with IDO Dance Sport Rules & Regulations.
